women are like fields of landmines. a barren piece of land that looks completely harmless and peaceful. and because of this peacfulness that one feels so uncomfortable. you are drawn to its peacefulness, and just wish to revel in it but there is just something in you screaming, "no dont'!". it appeals to you and yet know you have to stay away from it. man being complete idiots take that first step into that landmine field despite all his primal instincts telling him not to. i guess. the temptation of fornicating at the end of the field with a gorgeous woman is worth the trip.

san gimignano and chianti

we got lost trying to get back to the bus. but hey.
we managed to see some great scenery.
i love italy for its green-ness. hurhur :)

spring break is almost here! omg i can't wait!

spring break plans are going to be travelling around spain and portugal. mainly spain though. oh well. so here goes:

barcelona - madrid - lisbon - faro - seville

then home!! hahaha 10days of pure bliss :) can't wait can't wait!

i realise that i love being here because i am stuck between two time zones. hmm does that make sense? well. okay like singapore is 7 hours ahead. the states is about 6hours behind. which means that in our hockey email chain, throughout the day there would be this flood of emails! hahah which of course i enjoy receiving and absolutely love to reply with such bullshit they get so sick of me so fast they wanna throw me out the window :)

so anyway as i was saying. so around 11am-2pm i would be talking to my friends who are still in singapore. then when i get back from the last of my classes, everyone in singapore is still online since it's only just past midnight! then at night there's always the uk people to entertain me and of course my us friends. ahhhh. i like i like :( kinda not want to leave florence because of this.

and of course i refuse to leave florence because i have not travelled enough of europe! roar :( but if i think about it, when i'm in newyork i can just take a cheap cheap flight to london! :) or dublin :) and err. stay with people :) since all my friends are just so nice and hospitable :) hurhurhur. and maybe do a tour of europe. maybe not go home for winter break this time. hmmm. seriously considering. oh well. we'll see. THE WEEKEND IS HERE. why am i not travelling?! my own fault. but i think i shall go shopping :) haven't done that since i've been here. hurhur :) so oh well. let's see if i do wind up buying anything other than t-shirts.

i need someone to give me fashion sense because obviously i lack alot of it. and maybe. just make me more feminine. when will i grow up and stop looking like a boy/kid?! hahah maybe never :)

i've been receiving packages and it has really made my week so much more bearable. especially since i'm missing cny this year and didn't really get to celebrate it in anyway besides having some chinese food in dublin with ruik.

just got back from teatro verdi! :) my academic visit this semester with prof spini was at the teatro verdi and we were fortunate enough to catch the closing ceremony of the carnevale! :)

the music was just bellissima! the conductor was so entertaining. hahaha very very dramatic. didn't know whether to laugh or keep quiet because i was afraid that my outward burst of laughter was offensive. so anyway the music was beautiful. it lasted about 1.5h. after the intermission they came back with masks! and like fake hair. and they were having so much fun on the stage! the music was more entertaining too. like they were making doggy noises and stuff. it was just. it was fun watching them have so much fun. and they got the audience to interact. i love those italians. ever so entertaining and lovable. well. sometimes :)

after that, we took a walk around the city because it is the last day of the carnevale. lots of people in costume! hahaha everyone out partying tonight. yesterday was my party night. damnit should have waited one more day. and there were dancing on the strips. lots of laughter. that kinda thing. perfect atmosphere.

i had such a good day. i'm loving florence :)

coolio at yab!
19th feb 2007

so yesterday coolio was in town. hurhur. and knowing us we cannot miss this opportunity to meet him live! :) hahaha gangsta paradise being the song that is most popular amongst the group. the other songs, we can barely err sing to :)

so knowing us. we only leave the dorm at 1am. got there at around 130am. and had a huge problem getting in because the club was sooo packed. hurhurhur. it was horrible. it was so cold and windy out! and there was alot of drama from a very drunk american student. quite a sight. which reminds me yet again why i detest drunks. irresponsible and shameless behavior. dude drink if you want, but know your limits please. thanks.

so we managed to take many pictures, though not very good ones of him. anyhow. alot of people from school where there. and now i have to do work. die la. and i have an academic visit to the theatre later. watching a musical i suppose. hmm not too sure. oh well :) till tomorrow :)
