hey everybody. i've made it here safe and sound :) and i've got 5 room mates :) they are all very nice and we are all getting along just fine :) it's super fun here! :) except that my parents keep getting lost for i don't know what reason. we have a bad sense of direction. sighh.
anyway. i have 4 other room mates. julie's from connecticut, usa. lans's from montreal, canada. sunny's from shanghai, china and yvonne's from brazil but i have no idea whereabouts. it's been pretty fun here :) execept for the jetlag but i'm missing everyone from home LOTS. gosh and the angmoh bimbos just make me wanna roll my eyes into my scalp and back out again!! it's horrible. and there's a beautiful cum cool gang here. or maybe i'm just labelling them like that. buttt. hahaha we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

i've been dead busy the past week. it's crazy. ahh but ya. hasn't exactly hit me that i have to leave already. bleah. will miss everyone so much. bleah
saturday in the morning, i went to send mun off. she's off to georgetown alone. i don't know how she can go alone. wahh i will be damn scared. but at least she has her singaporean friends. think she has started school already. i hope she's feeling okay. :) ahh! reminds me. she has to pass me the photos!
after sending her off, whui drove belle and i to eat at killiney. i think it was the siglap branch. we had a feast and ate the whole afternoon away! sat and chatted for hours. gosh. we got so much to talk about and we always talk about the same thing. i think? hahaha :)
at night, i had the src victory dinner. yay :) it was to celebrate our achievements for the year. woot! we got 5 titles. premier, under15, under18 sixes, premier 8aside and division one. whee! :) oh and the captains had to make a speech and man did i suck. so much for being well prepared. hah. i think i suck at public speeches. too many eyes staring at me. intense!
oh and the girls presented me with a farewell present!! ahh!! :) so sweet. they compiled photos for me into a card :) so pretty!! thanks babes for all the effort put in. and guess what! i got 2 crumplers!! oh gosh. i wasn't expecting the crumpler. and i got 2! ahh! crazy! i was damn shocked. roar. i should made a thankyou speech but i know i will just choke up and heh. cry. ya. :( i don't wanna leave my friends behind. bleah.
after that we went to obar and i got stuffed with 9tequila shots. yucks. it tasted horrible. i kept running away to avoid the shots and kept getting dragged back. well at least i held my alcohol. hah. had supper. i didn't eat. hahaha met up with sha!! hahahahahha she's damn funny i bet farah would agree with me :) got home at 630. DEAD BEAT
sunday woke up at 10am. just in time for church. pastor prayed for me :) made me feel less anxious but i'm still having lots of jitters. at least less about the pot and all. anyhow, had lunch with my family. except my sister. she went for pilates after church. haahahah. she wanna lose weight :) we had lunch at sunwithmoon. YUMMY!! and the place is so pretty. such nice decor, but it was so crowded. had to wait 20minutes for a table and it was really noisy. hard to hear my parents talk. but ya. it was a good lunch :) feeling very very VERY fortunate to have my whole family follow me to italy and help me settle in. :) muax i love my family!!
after lunch i was suppose to go shopping with my mother for panties 'cause i don't have enough, but oh well. i slept the whole afternoon away so yup. didn't go shopping in the end. hahaha.
monday met up with adelene in the afternoon for the famous chicken rice at far east :) oh yummy!! wahh i'm gonna miss eating all the local food in singapore! ahh! maybe i should pack some stuff over. actually i think i would need to. hahaha :)
we watched 'hard candy'. hahaha totally whacked. 14yr old, NOT INNOCENT AT ALL.
met mathao for dinner and watched a DAMN STUPID CHINESE movie. oh gosh. i don't know how i talked that bugger into letting me watch a chinese movie. i think i didn't know until he bought the tickets or something. oh gosh. and it was a chinese movie from CHINA. so they have damn strong accents. oh gosh. i totally died. already i'm struggling with normal chinese. can you imagine how i died?!?! roar.
tuesday drove down to KL to visit relatives :) i drove on the highway!! my mummy and i took turns 'cause she was tired. i drove at 140km/h. so now i'm scared that my dad will get stopped and get a fine for my speeding. heh. hahaha err don't tell my sister. hahhaha :) everything that involves me driving is a secret to my sister. hahaha. it's called a survivor skill.
my mom got lost 3 times! shucks. she could not decide between going to the hotel, my grandma's place and my dad's office. wahh. totally died. the malaysian roads are damn confusing. you kinda have to drive past the building to be able to enter it. do you get it? nevermind. try driving in KL and you would understand.
had dinner with my grandparents at a chinese restaurant. they served a HUMONGOUS xiaolongbao. i tell you i don't see how it can still be called xiao. it was the size of my palm and had it's own long. wah. insane. gotta drink the soup from a straw. but it wasn't too great. that reminds me. i want crystal jade lamian!! ahh!!
wednesday went to do some shopping for panties in the morning. bought a perfume too :) yay!
met my mom's side for lunch. gosh they ordered all my favourite dishes and i was being stuffed like mad :) yummy. totally need to detox from all that stuffing. shiok :)
after that we took the domestic flight to johore and drove back in my bro's car to singapore. by the time we arrived it was 1130. i had rush to pick up the rj hockers. i was taxi driver for the day la. munloh @ nus. ju @ upper thomson. belle @ yio chu kang. jing and whui @ still road. headed off to geylang for DAMN DAMN DAMN good tauhui!! wahh everyone go there and eat tauhui. it's amazing! :) yummy. i need to go on a food quest when i come back from italy. K I BOOK YOU, whoever's willing to go with me! we had such a delightful conversation that night. hahahaa laughing our asses off and me being bitchy and cranky 'cause i was DAMN hungry and tired from all the driving. hahaha. bleah. but i still enteretained them :)
belle followed me home 'cause she had school the next day and school's much nearer my place. slept only at 430 and had to wake up at 930. TIRED. not enough sleep. roar.
thursday met tsai and jingwen in rj for lunch. i've become some sort of advisor. feeling good dude :) hahaha. but not too sure if i give out good advice. hahaha. but i hope it helps anyhow.
went phone hunting for andrew. his pok phone is dead. lousy pok. roar. took me forever to find a triband non camera phone. oh gosh. stupidd. so irritated after that. but i realised i was walking for like 2 hours straight so i would have burnt off alot of the weight i put on during my time in malaysia. okay even if it isn't true, let me deceive myself. i need that comfort now. haha :)
met belle for thai food at coronation arcade. wahh. damn nice :) and it's not too bad. pretty cheap. it would have been cheaper if we were in uniform. and gosh. i was waiting for belle, sitting alone and i could not help eavesdropping on the hwachong boys. they talk about girls like they have never seen and touch a girl before. and i mean touch like touch to ensure yourself that it exists. and not touch.. in the perverted manner. EEWW.
got home and started on my packing. roar. tough job and i'm going mad. roar. don't know how i am gonna complete my packing. seriously.
took my bro's car out and met the so6d girls for dinner/supper at chompchomp :) YUMMY. my 2nd time there. and the 1st time was damn long ago. the sting ray was huge and very worth my money. so happy :) yay. and we bought rochor road tauhui! yummy! look at me munch at everything i can. wahh. glutton.

hi everyone i'm leaving in 10 days! ahh. :( getting emoooo.
i suddenly can't remember what i have been doing the past few days. ahh!! okayy let me think. must jot down my happy thoughts.
wednesday ohh i have an assignment for orientation. a book about ethics. i haven't finished reading it! so screwed. and i can't really remember much of the content. anyway i went to read at the esplanade 'cause i like the library there :) was aloneee. peaceful i guess :) nice alone time.
so after that i met cookie, farah, nurdee and suzy for dinner at pizza hut! we ate like pigs :) hahahaha and it was damn fun. they dug out a secret about andrew and myself. the fact that i chased after him. hahaha. okay so apparently it's no longer a secret. hahahaha.
and guess what. i managed to get the car at night. AND I GOT LOST. damn it. aye to ecp straight road i can also get lost. WAH LAU! but i swear, it's the road signs!!! i couldn't really understand it. if kelvin's reading this i can just imagine him shaking his hands and saying "pea brain what". goshh. that does alot for my ego! hahaha :) and i winded up damn lost and mumbling curses at the top of my voice and having cars overtake me on the left. hahahaha 'cause i was road hogging on the 1st lane. too badd. i needed to make a right turn somewhere which resulted me in being on the 1st lane. TOO BAD. hahaha :)

thursday went to rj in the morning with the so6d girls. we were supposed to meet at 10 and guess what we winded up meeting at 12?!?!! can you beat that!! hahahahahaha. hilarious.
oh and we say blaps. omg. he must have lost like 20kg!!! damn skinny laaa. wahhlauuu. i also wanna go for his trim and fit program!! shocking. i could not recognise him at all. oh and we saw mdm rathi ho. couldn't contact the other teachers 'cause they had lessons.
met up with jingwen and tsai :) awwww :) i love chatting with them. so full of rubbish. shall remember to date them next week for lunch at j8 :)

friday met up with ruik the 'baika' person. okayy 'baika' means lame in.. err i don't know what. we were just talking about malaysia. hahaha damn funny.

been having a very hectic weekend. or rather week :) or rather. a special week!
thursday spent the afternoon shopping with jing :) yay i got my shoes and a bath robe. hahaha. ehh i don't get my own toilet and i don't know how to wrap the towel around myself properly so the safest thing is to get a bath robe.
went to jalan kayu for prata! wahh. they are super kiam! the prata is as small as my palm and they cost like 80cents! crazy right? and the tissue prata is $4! cheap moneyy. and it wasn't say very fantastic. would have rather had prata at al-ahzar. is that how you spell it? :) alot of the hockers made it!! so fun!! finally got such a good turn out after.. a very long time :)
had a sleep over at belle's :) watched click!! i don't know if it is funny or sad or what. i mean it's quite sad how he died and kept fast forwarding his life and didn't really have time for his family. but it was funny 'cause adam sandler's acting in it. haha :) but oh well :) it was good
friday woke up to the smell of sausages and eggs frying. yummyy :) it was nice spending time with belle, feli and jing. gonna miss them when i leave. sighh.
left for town around 1pm after we had spaghetti. gosh i've been eating damn alot laa. roar. but aiyaaa. nevermind. shall just enjoy myself now and worry about things later! anyway jing and i were being kiam and were hunting down cheap buys :) we would chuck away the $3 colour pencils for a $2.90 one. hahaha damn kiam right? yaa but oh well :) damn fun. cheap thrill more like it.
met hafiz for dinner at holland v. went around holland v discovering the little shops. quite interesting actually. so many new shops. or maybe i was just blur before and didn't realise they existed. anyhoww. bought myself a $12 abercrombie shirt. and it's real! :) yay factory outlet rocks. haha.
quarrelled with my sister over the car. sighh. but sometimes i really don't know why she quarrells with me for. 'cause i will give up and just give in and she will just continue screaming at me and demanding that i'm a brat. and get me really angry but my dad always says "walk away" so i walk. haha. sigh. but you know right, my sister is just the most caring person i've met. i mean. she really cares for my safety, my mother's health, my brother's future and my father's business and everything. just that. she shouts at us and gets us really worked up instead of being nice about it. i don't know. and we always wind up feeling guilty for fighting back with her. yaa. but sometimes. she really drives me up the wall!! ahh!! :) but i still love her very much. i mean. i think i am who i am 'cause my sister put in alot of effort in bringing me up the right way. yepp :) okayy. sounds so mushy. eee. i hope my sister doesn't read my blog.
met the hockers for a midnight tauhui and movie :) hahahaha. click!!! and we saw a gay couple in the theatre and they were kissing!! not making out with tongue and all but more like, giving each other cheeky pecks on the lips and all. ahh!! kelvin totally wanted to throw his management book at him la. haha. quite funny but we must be accepting of others. but i was quite freaked la. 'cause i haven't really seen it before. ya. hmmm.
saturday my sister lent me the car in the morn. had to be back by 1pm so i woke up really early and went about doing my errands. dropped by salvation army at clementi to drop off my clothes and books :) i had to make 3 trips from my car to the shop 'cause i had so much things!! ahh!! plus i'm not strong anymore so i had to carry less and make more trips. hahahaha :) had to buy my stationery at bigbookshop 'cause it's much cheaper to get things here then in the states or rather, italy. so those going overseas for your studies, buy stationery here!! then i went to get my pants altered at queensway. the auntie recognises me :) we go there quite often to alter our pants :) returned the car in time :) phew!
met joel for lunch at newyork newyork. damn nice! and they give free cotton candy!! really made my day!! :) i love cotton candy and the burgers there are HUGE!! and they are really tasty and the way they cook their meat, just fantastic. so juicy and tender! my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
joel left for his rugby then i went to the esplanade to read my book :) yay i completed 4chapters. am determined to finish the book tomorrow. gonna make a trip down to the esplanade. 'cause i like the library there :) hahaha.
after being the library for more than an hour, i decided to go down to the bayfront to continue my reading. and guess who i bumped into!! JINGG :) hahaha she was having her amazing race thing. she asked me to help her chop place at the bayfront so that she could get good seats at night when the fireworks came on. and yes i happily occupied quite a big space with my huge butt :) and i felt the urge to watch fireworks there and persuaded qing and cow to come join me at night :) 'cause i was suppose to have dinner with them at holland v :)
and guess what. they had a surprise for me!! they called all the crescent hockers down!! :) made me such a happy person but i felt so guilty! it was crowded at the esplanade as it was the last day of the fireworks display and they got trapped and didn't catch the fireworks in the end :( only stef and mavis watched it with me. SORRY BABES!!! but i made it up to them by treating all of them to settler's cafe at clark quay. :) taboo's damn fun!! hahahha :)
sunday got the car again :) 'cause my sister was being nice and kind! see actually she really is very nice. so i picked up the girls from church to go for breakfast. or rather. vonne's farewell breakfast. she left for berkerley on sunday afternoon :( miss her alreadyy. hopefully she decides to come back during winter break. bleah.
drove to the airport! whee. first time i was on the expressway! :) ahhaha suaku i know. give me a break. new driver. anyway we bought her a shopping guide :) i hope she likes it. monday i woke up really late 'cause i didn't get much sleep over the weekend. went down to sim lim square to pick up my electronics. and according to my computer whiz, kelvin lim i got cheated!! ahh :( stupid external hard drive.. now i'm reconsidering getting a webcam. i mean it's not a necessity or anything. sigh.. anyone wanna get me a webcam for a going away present? hahaha :) *hint hint*
tuesday i did a good deed today! i donated blood! finally! :) yayy i feel proud of myself. and i got conned out of my $10 to buy some mashimaro soft toy for a children's charity. i feel conned 'cause everyone say you shouldn't trust such people. but i'm gonna think positively and give him the benefit of the doubt and believe all of my $10 went to charity :)

yay!! i did alot of shopping for italy. so i got quite alot of my things and i'm all set and ready to go. but i'm too sure if i'm mentally prepapred to leave just yet. bleah.
didn't manage to catch the fireworks on tuesday 'cause it was so crowded and mummy and i were too hungry to bother. hahaha :) damn greedy i know. oh!! which reminds me.
i was buying this jacket from adidas (my mummy had vouchers) and it's pink. well. black pink. i know. damn funny right. but nice leh. anyhow. my mother kept asking for a bigger size 'cause she was sure i'm gonna grow fat when i'm in italy! ahh! i'm damn scared. what if i balloon up like my sister! hahaha she gained like 8kg while in the states. die la. hahahaha i'm gonna roll out of the plane!
ooooohhhhhhh and my sister has been DAMN KIND towards me the past 2 days. hahahaha :) which makes me feel very happy and stuff. without a doubt i will miss her alot. her constant nagging and silly jokes. and i will miss my daddy alot too. 'cause he is always trying to be funny and act cute and act young. hahaha now you know when i act funny it's 'cause it's in my genes to be like that :) hahaha
and i will really really miss my mummy. been spending alot of time with her. she's the best mummy though she can't cook :) she's always so willing to come pick me up when i'm tired and even give my friends lifts. always willing to have my friends over and always so "ons" about buying food and fruits for them. trying to joke with them, getting to know them better. i love my mummy :) i really really do.
okay then i will miss my brother because he's my brother and he always defends me and i liken myself to be like him. hahaha :) i mean we're more alike then my sister and i. or maybe. hmmm.

i feel damn happy today :)
woke up late but still managed to start on my reading :) i covered 3 chapters. i'm on my way to be a better reader :) as in. more efficient one :) and in turn become an EINSTEIN! thank you very much :)
met cookie. went to NTU to buy my printer since they were selling damn cheap :) yay. but the big problem was i had to lug the stupid printer wherever i went. not like i went to alot of places. but still!!
and i felt so happy 'cause i bought an UP-SIZED macdonald's meal for just $5!! wahhh. okay i know i sound damn suaku and everything. but i felt like i cheated ronald macdonald's of his money.
visited kelvin's funky dorm room! :) saw the cairn's pictures and the king's cup pictures. hahaha :) trips are always damn fun. bleah. won't be able to join the src girls to king's cup this year since i will still be away in italy slogging away for my exams. whee. oh well.
went down to the courts at jurong point. the stupid security system. IT BEEPED LIKE CRAZY when i entered the shop. and the whole world was staring at me. and i looked even more suspicious 'cause i was carrying the stupid printer! i bet they thought i stole it and felt bad and wanted to come back to return it! oh and the guy came up to me and asked to see my receipt. thank God cookie told me to keep my receipt. or else i will be in a jail cell right now. phew! but what an exciting trip to courts :)
yay feeling so accomplished! plus i finally understand my dad's phonecube thing :) and man :) i'm so excited!! :) okayy. whatever. yay!!
gonna spend the whole day tomorrow with my mother. buying my stuff for italy and just having daughter-mother time :) which reminds me of a conversation i had with her over breakfast this morning when i woke up at 8 feeling starved!!
mummy: ming you better stop fooling around already and start planning for Italy. like what clothes you need to buy and what you want to bring. very important or else when you are there you have to worry about everything and then don't study. pau: yes mummy. i know. mummy: eh i'm being serious. so how many panties and shirts and everyting are you going to bring? pau: can i just bring 7shirts, 7pants, 7panties, 7bras and one jacket? besides i will be doing laundry there what. mummy: you think you going on holiday ah? wah. don't tell people you're my daughter. so paiseh. how can you wear the same thing everyday. must learn to be fashionable. pau: i'm not meh? mummy: let's not talk about this. what you want to buy tomorrow? pau: HUH?! i'm not!!!???

the game against india was our last and finally i got to see some ball action :) yay! hahaha. made a stupid mistake in the first half which saw me being subbed out. when i dragged the ball to their strong side, immediately i could hear coach smacking his forehead shouting "NO!". ya. and when i did it, i just wanted to turn back time and go the other way. i don't know. it's like a reflex thing. i felt so dumb when i got subbed out.
then in the second half, i was subbed in and i got a chance to redeem myself. and i did! i dribbled to MY strong side :) and jinged over the india girl's stick. and she happily pushed me. ALMOST lost my balance.. but hey i've got trunk like legs for a reason! and yes. no one can topple my tree! except myself. and i got past 2 indians! yay :) hahaha. for a moment that sounded rather. wrong.
managed to do a 2-on-1 with pris and we penetrated the D and i got a short corner.
shucks. farah totally won the bet la. idiot.
and i happily screwed up short corner. had a 'brain explosion'. a phrase coach always uses on us when we screw up. and i got a scolding after that from him. i have no idea what i was doing. i think i knew i had to push. but i didn't. or i realised it at the last moment when it was too late. okay to save my ass, i'm gonna opt for the latter.
so it was a good finale :) i feel. at least we got some attacking chances and really held the indians back. you could see they were getting frustrated. though we lost our structure and discipline, we still held out well :) and i feel proud to have been proud of this team and played the 4nations.
so.. what does my future hold now? bleah.
on to happier moments. jing and belle came over after the game :) they were my no.2 supporters 'cause xinn takes no.1 spot :) 'cause xinn has been to more games and she even gave me some feedback. hmmm. :)
managed to get the car out that night. my sister was totally paranoid. she checked the mileage on the car and warned me not to drive too far out and go gallavanting. and if i do anything stupid, she will know. quite psycho right? i don't wanna be her daughter. but then again, my sister is a very loving person. way before she became psycho (after she came back from the states) she was a very loving sister. i mean she still is, but her love is getting abit psycho. nonetheless, i will miss her alot when i leave for the states.
sooo :) i droveee!!!!!!!!!! wheee!!!!!!!!!!! and i reversed parked :) very very skillfully :) but belle says it's cause i had a large space. but ehh. look at whui. hahahha she couldn't even go in straight. even though she keeps demanding that she did :) and whui looks mighty hot driving a red mazda.
i bet if her red mazda was a convertible. she would be whistled her and totally harrassed by cheeko men! and they will start giving her raised eyebrows and look cool and wink. wahh. FREAKY. hahaha then they will throw their name cards into her car, put their hand to their ears flashing their gold chains and mouth "da wo". hahaha that kinda came out so wrong. if you don't get my hanyinpinying it means "call me". or it can also mean "hit me". OH GOSH. KINKY LA!
:) okay. gonna go run errands for my trip. 3 more weeks till i depart. lots of things to do! let's see..
1. finish reading my assigned book 2. grasp speed reading 3. learn basic italian (E un'emergenza! dove sono posti dove mangiare? which means "i have an emergency! where are the places to eat?) hahahahaha :) 4. get a laptop case 5. a bigger capacity bag for my books and laptop and other essentials 6. winter clothing 7. panties (my dog keeps stealing them from the laundry line and i never get them back!) 8. school wear (need a belt for my extra big pants. then when i come back fat, i can sell the belt and make money) 9. printer :) which i'm gonna go get today at the ntu fair! 10. dental appointment 11. blood donation 12. clothes and books donation (need car!) 13. learn efficient packing. plan my packing 14. bed linen/ blankets/ pillows 15. webcam 16. - - - - - - - - 17. change of money. it's currently SGD 2.03 = Euro 1 18. stationery 19. watch 20. settle the internet phones for my friends :) and me!
okay. gotta run off to meet cookie :) she starts school today.

today's the last day of 4nations. already i'm pretty tired. after 2 consecutive days of intense hockey. phew.
our first game against malaysia saw us losing 4-0. first half didn't go too well. everyone wasn't settled. could have been the rushed schedule during warm-up or it could have been first game jitters. we weren't very steady and we winded up conceeding two shortcorner goals and a field goal.
after coach spoke to us in the 2nd half, we picked up our momentum and fought hard holding the malaysians at bay and conceeding only one goal. which was a great improvement. the team played much better, much stronger. maybe 'cause we realised the malaysians weren't that fantastic and we could take them on. i had expected a much stronger side, considering that they were preparing for asian games.
and i ran my ran off. gosh i felt damn tired after the game. had to run from width to width whenever they did the transfers. quickly closed them down on their sideline hits. whenever we had a turnover i had to run up to attack and get infront of the ball carrier. and then they steal the ball back and i had to run back to defend. i was sure i covered like 10km in that game. hahaa okay maybe that's too much but ya i'm sure i covered at least 4km! nevermind. now i have a tight ass and can afford to eat more lamian. haha.. cookie!!
our 2nd game was against japan and we lost 8-0. they were much quicker and stronger as compared to the malaysians. everytime we started the 16yard hit, they were already in their positions ready to close us down. they got back real quick. couldn't help observing that they pretty much sprinted all the time. they were tough to mark 'cause they kept moving around in the D, switching positions and causing confusion in the D for the defenders. they eliminated us purely through their speed. we could hardly pace them. but i have to admit, their defence is not as solid as i would think them to be.
there were a few times when the forwards pressured them and got the ball off them. but they were quick to tackle back and foul us, breaking out momentum and stealing possession back. sigh. but. i guess. after this match, we know what is international hockey like and we have a long way to go. this is supposed to be a humbling experience for us and a reminder that we still have alot to learn and i hope after this tournament, we will train harder and strive for greater heights. jiayou girls!

i wonder what will happen to me after this 4nations.
while we sang the national anthem before the malaysia/singapore game. i had time to think. rather alot of time to think.
i remember thinking how i couldn't sing the athem of singapore (since i'm pr and stuff) and yet in my mind it was just coming out. i knew every word and every tune. does that make sense?
then the malaysian anthem came on. by right i should be singing it, since i'm malaysian at all. but everything sounded so foreign to me. i didn't remember the tune (even though i've heard it before and quite frequently when i was younger) and i didn't even care much for the words and the meaning of it all.
and then. i thought. i've treated singapore like home for the past 16years. lived here, studied here, grew up here and found love here. i want so much to belong here, but there are many consequences to bear if i do. wish so much to play for the country. given my all and still.
i'm treated like a foreigner.
