one, two, three, four
tell me that you love me more
sleepless, long nights
that was what my youth was for
oh teenage hope arrive at your door
left you with nothing
but they want some more
you're changing your heart.

hello. haven't blogged in a long time. mainly because i've been busy with alot of things, and been out of the house alot. like from 7 in the morn to about 10 at night.
came back from kl refreshed :) sunway lagoon was damn fun. hahaha i know i'm such a kid but i can't help it. i loved all the rides, all the cheap thrills. hahaha :) mighty fun. i wanna go back!! and all that A&W. absolutely heavenly. i can't rememeber the last time i ate curly fries! it was so long ago. gosh. i wonder why they didn't do well in singapore. every time i was at an A&W outlet, the place would be crowded. hmmm.
anyhow. the rest of the week was spent playing hockey, managing the u15 recs team, getting injured, playing semis, driving and eating a hell alot of food. i promised myself that when i get back from malaysia i would restrict myself from overeating. but obviously it is something i have not been able to achieve. overeating is bad, doesn't help me at training at all. next thing i know, the nutrionist would come and i will be put on a diet and i will just cry everytime i cannot eat a plate of hokkien mee or a piece of fried chicken. i love food. sighh.
my greatest sin would have to be gluttony.
so the best part of my week was being able to play hockey :) finally national training has resumed and i feel like i'm headed somewhere this time. i mean, at least i know there's 4-nations to look forward to. it's already confirmed that they tournament is going to be held and i will be eligible. so now is the time to fight for my place in the team.
then comes the bad news. i happily injured my back on the first day of training :( and it's not some minor injury. it was pretty bad. i hurt it while doing bridging. my bridging was done wrongly, i dropped my hips and the weight of my body pulled my lower back and caused my bridge to collaspe. and there you go, my back snaps and next thing i know after training i'm in excruciating pain and seeing the doctor the next day.
dr cormac said it is nothing too serious. while it's no slipped disc. which is the best news ever. can you imagine, not being able to play for the next 6months? i've enough of not playing. especially during A's. felt so lifeless, lacking energy in everyday chores. horrid feeling. so lazy and sluggish.
missed national training to rest my back for the big game on sat. semis. WE WON! by flicks. hmmm. though i would have rather ended it in full time or maybe extra time. sigh. it was a disappointing performance on the whole from the team. we didn't hold ourselves together. we were pretty shaky. the pressure we were getting from the theresians from the beginning of the game really took it's toll on us. you could see how nervous everyone was. i was damn scared the whole time and felt very panicky. we didn't play our game. but nevermind. there's the finals to make up for it.
i could barely move that day. i was on voltaren, which was supposed to bring relief from the pain but apparently had no effect on me at all. hmmm. during warm up i could feel my back squeezing and i just knew my game plan would be affected by it. i wanted to do alot alot of hard running, running away from my player, taking players on, offering in space, lots of running. but i could barely keep running for 5minutes. barely sprint up the flank to assist the forwards. when half time came and i finally could sit down and rest my back, the pain was just so excruciating. i would have cried buckets.
but the worst thing was, i felt i was disappointing my team mates. i could not give my 100%, and it was all my own fault. bleah. i'm not going to make the same mistake again. this week. no training for me. lots of stretching and lots of time to recover.
going to sleep now. it's late. and world cup is on and i can't watch 'cause starhub sucks. they happily haven't activated the channels. ROAR.
oh. hahaha. andrew finally gave me my new asics shoes :) yay!
pau: ehh andrew!! i just thought of something funny!! my shoes "feet" me. hahahaha. get it?
andrew: that's not funny lor.
hmmm. i really think it's quite leh. :)
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
i wanna write a joke book!
